Guys and gals let's see if we can help raise some more money for this event.

I'm in for $100 donation. If I understood correctly Mike said it's almost at capacity, 76, and we haven't raised enough to pay for the food.

I'm sure a lot of people signed up already just haven't gotten around to throwing a few bucks in the pot by contributing to the pay pal account mike set up at mike_elliott@hotmail.com but if you could let's help ease the concerns of those who are organizing the event by contributing now instead of later.

$20, $50, $100 $500 if your going throw something in the pot please.

Take care all!!!

Thanks for the plug, Aaron. I will be sending out the first email in a day or so, once we fill this last seat, and Ill be asking for donations of course. Keep in mind, donations to the Mooney Summit not only fund the Summit, but anything excess we collect will go to the William Gilliland endowment we are setting up to honor Bill, who lost his life in the accident on July 11th this year. This endowment will be used to provide immediate therapy and support services to a downed mooney owner family member, God forbid. I witnessed first hand the need for this and the concept was suggested to me by Bill's wife when I told her I wanted to honor Bill at this years summit, as he epitomized our mission statement "to better the breed".

We are in the process of setting up a 501 c 3 to have donations tax deductible also. A lot of great people on this list are working to make that happen and volunteering their time to serve. The endowment will be administered by Jolie Lucas and my wife, Alice, both licensed therapist. SOoooo, even if you are not coming to the Summit, suffice it to say, your contributions are "bettering the breed" and kinetically helping a Mooney pilot's family when the need is the greatest.

Thanks everyone for considering this important charity.

I'm good for donating, but I think it should be proportional to the plane.  For example, Acclaim owners should put up at least a grand, while C model owners should donate $1-5.   :D

Have to get those guys away from the gas pump to donate, Robert :) It should be proportional to your heart.

My check is (almost, sort of) in the mail.

Amelia, Mike, I can top that... my check IS in the mail.  :) And I encourage everyone to pay up. Even if you're not attending.

The adjoining hotel's rooms (two double beds) facing the gulf were something like $65/night. No clue what the quality of the accommodations is, but I can guarantee we've likely encountered worse! :D

Can't make Summit? For a little Mooney Love come to our little shindig Nov.15. Less than a Mooney hour from Toccoa.

Anyone I could share a ride with from airport to seahaven? I'm getting in about 2pm on Friday.....I can adjust my schedule to meet at a different time if need be...

I plan on getting in on Thursday afternoon. I have a car reserved, but will probably have to get the FBO to take me around to the rent-a-car area. But if that coinsides with someone's need for a ride, let me know.

That's the right way to rent a car, Don. I did that last Feb. The FBO is happy to drive you the few blocks to the main terminal to get a rental for much less than a drop off fee. They will pick it up at the FBO no charge. I think it cost me about 90 for the 4 days I had it last feb. , but I needed a car to gather ice, supplies, etc. Otherwise, Alice and I would have just taken a shuttle.

OH, Thanks Don for donating the fine Mooney Crystals as door prizes. We appreciate it!

Jolie wanted to know if anyone wants to buy Mooney Ambassadors shirts, Moo drives, boots on the ground, etc she can pack them and bring them along to save shipping costs. Please touch base with mooneygirl if you want to her to include something for you.

We are getting close! I look forward to seeing everyone!

You should be there about the time Paul is wrapping up his tank sealant presentation at the airport, Aaron. There should be a number of folks there that can assist.
