agassi70 Posted June 16, 2010 Report Posted June 16, 2010 I am looking at a 1977 to 1974 or so 201. What is the cargo space? Maybe the dimension on the door and sq ft on the actual space. Wondering what suitcases would fit? Thanks Quote
laytonl Posted June 16, 2010 Report Posted June 16, 2010 This is not a comprehensive answer, but anecdotally, the cargo space is fine. In addition to the Mooney, I have a Cherokee Warrior. When I was considering an M20J, I was concerned about cargo space and the odd, over the lip, access. However, the Mooney cargo space seems to be about as good as the Cherokee's, and the access has not been a problem. Getting stuff through the passenger door and into the back seat is not as easy as the Cherokee. Lee Quote
agassi70 Posted June 16, 2010 Author Report Posted June 16, 2010 What would you say the big difference in speed and usefull load are? I have been toying with the 235 as well... If I am not mistaken isn't it like 138kt to 155kt and 1200UL to 948UL? The first numbers being the 235... What about fuel burn? Quote
agassi70 Posted June 16, 2010 Author Report Posted June 16, 2010 Maybe what about comparing the Comanche 260? Quote
PTK Posted June 17, 2010 Report Posted June 17, 2010 There is no comparison to the M20J. It's in a class by itself in performance and efficiency. It covers more distance in less time using less fuel than anything else. Quote
eaglebkh Posted June 17, 2010 Report Posted June 17, 2010 The nice thing about the mooney cargo space is the logical placement of the door. You can fill up the entire cargo section through that door. On a cherokee-like door that is on the bottom, you can only load cargo until it reaches the top of the door, then you have to start passing stuff over the seats. Quote
