Looking to see if anyone has a cable (P/N   050-03213-0000) to load data from a PC to the KLN89B. I have the data jack installed in the airplane - just need the cable. It should look like the picture below.

Thanks

I'm resurrecting this thread to see if anyone else has a spare programming cable lying around.  The flight school where I teach recently acquired a 172 with a KLN-90B, which appears to still work.  The airplane is intended for VFR private pilot training, and in an iPad universe it really doesn't matter whether it ever even gets powered up.  But I have a soft spot for vintage avionics, and thought it might be a humorous side quest to update it with a database from this decade.

I've got a USB/serial adapter, and maybe a line on a recent database file, but I don't have the required DB9 to TRS jack cable.  I could probably make one in a pinch, with some research, but it would be more convenient to just buy something.

I might still have one, I had a KLN-89B which was upgraded to a KLN-94.  It was many years ago though.  If I recall correctly this was the fat plug with the 3 TRS segments?  I'll check tonight when I get home.

I'm sorry but I didn't get to my hangar yesterday.  I'll be there this afternoon and check if I have that cable.  If I do, I'm happy to donate it :-)

Thank you sir, that'd be much appreciated.  I'll pay shipping costs.  If you do find the cable, DM me for details.

Thanks for the pointer, Lance.  I confess I was hoping someone had one to "donate"

Spoken as a true Mooney owner. . . lol
