mooneygirl Posted April 18, 2014 Report Posted April 18, 2014 Hello Mooney Lovers A little update on Chino, CA. We have secured a roped off area at air show central for the Chino Planes of Fame Air Show on May 2-4. The area is, as I said, right in the middle of the action. They are expecting 20,000 attendees over the two day show. Our display planes in the center area must be moved into place on Thursday May 1 or by Friday May 2nd at noon. They need to stay put until the close of the show on Sunday the 4th at 4. There are two other options for Mooney pilots coming in. 1) Very limited spaces for in/out display planes; 2) Transient parking and take Mooney golf cart to Hospitality area. Here is the PDF for getting your free wristbands for the show [$25 value each]. I have space for FOUR more Mooneys in the air-show central area with the Th/Friday arrival through Sunday at 4 limitation. Please email me soon if you would like to participate. Thursday night is a community open house at the airport and all booths including Mooney Chalet will be open for business. Jolie Chino_Airshow_TicketInstructions.pdf 1 Quote
MB65E Posted April 18, 2014 Report Posted April 18, 2014 A friend that has does some avionics work at Chino mentioned that one of the hangars there Mooney is taking over. Not sure what for exactly, but can't be bad news! It will make a nice spot for a "west coast" regional distribution/service center/ export , etc... Who knows! -Matt Quote
mooneygirl Posted April 18, 2014 Report Posted April 18, 2014 Matt, When we were down there for a meeting on Monday we did see the new Mooney hangar across the field. I think that it does speak to the long term nature of the plan for Mooney and is good news for us owners, and hopefully for new Mooney owners as well. 1 Quote
