Hi guys,

 

I am planning to add some radios to the aircraft.

 

The most recent "Electrical Load Analysis" form I have seems to be inaccurate. I will get an authorized person to create a new one however I want to get everything ready for him so that his work is minimum. Would any one be aware of the specified current requirement for the following?:

 

- Original Wing-Tip and Tail strobes (M20C 1965)

- Original Electrical Turn Coordinator (M20C 1965)

 

- Narco IN-825 CDI

 

I searched on the Web and no luck....

 

If you have some of these, your current load analysis will (should) show the values.

 

I also want to do it before I decide to go ahead buying equipment, to ensure that my current generator will suffice.

I am curious, is the load analysis specifically required for Canada? In the US, it can be done by demonstrating that the load does not exceed the generator capacity, actually the target is 80%. So, assuming an accurate ammeter, you could judge the load by turning everything on and checking your ammeter.

My ammeter is definitely not accurate enough for this. I actually stopped looking at it years ago. I have a voltmeter instead that is accurate and tells me if I get a charge but it cannot help with my Load analysis.

the CDI is covered by the radio load (not separately CBed).

Unit loads may be on the labels as well.

OK fine. This means I only need the strobe data I guess...
