mooneygirl Posted April 25, 2010 Report Posted April 25, 2010 Short notice, but that is why we have airplanes.... On May 1, 2010 several tenants of Stinson Municipal Airport are heading up a Fly-in. All pilots are welcome to show up at Stinson between 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM this Saturday for this fun event! While you are at Stinson, be sure to check out the specials at the Airport Cafe, attend the Stinson history presentation by John Aken of Palo Alto College, and the Texas Air Museum with their real FW-190 on static display along with numerous other exhibits. We anticipate there being several vintage and historic aircraft on the ramp and hope a fun time will be had by all.Point Person: Bucko Strehlow Quote

mooneygirl Posted May 6, 2010 Author Report Posted May 6, 2010 Hi Russ, sorry for the mis-step. I thought it was the 30th, then I thought it was on Saturday... So Sunday the 30th, St Paul, Alberta Canada. Be there or be square! HA Quote
jax88 Posted May 6, 2010 Report Posted May 6, 2010 This is exactly why I should check the forums daily. Had I known this was taking place I would have driven down and mingled with other Mooney owners (I suppose I could have flown a couple of patterns just to make it feel like a fly-in, seeing as how I keep my Mooney at Stinson). MooneyMitch Posted May 6, 2010 Report Posted May 6, 2010 There are just somethings we do each day, eh? Brush teeth, shower, breakfast, check MooneySpace.com, feed the cats, etc!! Quote
mooneygirl Posted May 6, 2010 Author Report Posted May 6, 2010 I am sorry you missed the fun event at Stinson. If you would like to be added to the mailing list for the Mooney Ambassadors, just drop me an email: MooneyAmbassadors@charter.net Here is the link to our Google Maps for 2010 events: http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?hl=en&gl=us&ie=UTF8&view=map&msa=0&msid=107379850273129317672.00047e783c1d71eabbce7&ll=37.649034,-90.175781&spn=33.118079,82.441406&t=h&z=4 The way the Ambassadors work is that you would pick an event that you might like to display at, an airport day or fly-in. Work with the event administration to have some spots for the Ambassadors. We can help you with advertising the event on the website, and we have a PPP [point person packet] that has the templates for display tags and prop tags. Since you missed Stinson, think of where you would like to go, we can help with the rest. Our mission is three-fold: Support Mooney Airplane Company, Promote General Aviation, and have Someplace Wonderful to Fly. http://mooneyambassadors.com/ Quote
