  1. Tell April you need a Plane Plastics p/n "UK740020-503"
  2. On most shop vacs the vacuum air is circulated thru the motor after passing thru the filter, the motor has a set of brushes that are producing a spark. This means you are mixing flamable fumes with an ignition spark, Your vacuum might explode !!!
  3. If you repair it with 6061 T6 it will last longer on a baffling repair.
  4. Found mine on eBay.
  5. +1 for the old dogs.
  6. Chain cover is 21$. There was a price reduction
  7. Call Plane Plastics. They have a PMA approved replacement.
  8. Plane Plastics have the vents
  9. An AN7 bolt is .437" max. to .433" min. dia.
  10. Use your local A&P he can give you as good of service and do it at less cost because of no travel time. And if your not a regular customer of his don't expect him to help you when you need it the most like evenings and weekend when you have a fouled plug and have a must to trip. Mooney is a simple airplane and he should be able to handle it. If not then he should not be working on any airplane.
  11. AIRWOLF MAKES A REMOTE MOUNT OIL FILTER KIT THAT WORKS GOOD
  12. Your pictures show that the mag is not timed correctly to the engine. The distributor gear (with the red dot and red tooth) turns at 1/2 the rotations of the drive gear. If you remove your mag and then rotate the mag drive shaft 1 complete turn the proper red painted tooth on your distributor gear will be in the window where it should be. this will put your mag in the proper rotation to install back on the engine.
  13. I have a complete system that I would take $350.00 for. Flame tubes look good.

  14. I would not buy the Flight Speicals but the Condors are good.
  15. Sorry I was wrong. You need 2" unvented caps the piper ones won't work.
  16. Same cap as the PA24-250 piper. PMA approved for the Piper at 116.50 each from Aircraft Spruce.
  17. You might want to check where the air is flowing out of your cabin. Airflow in won't be good if there is no place for it to exit.
  18. There is a battery vender across the isle form the Aircraft Spruce booth in vender buildings.
  19. Get a GOOD inspection done by a A&P you know and trust. If he says it is ok then buy it. You will be getting a good airplane at a reduced price. History is in the past, if your A&P says its ok forget the past, current condition is all that matters
  20. If you are landing with boost pump on, the boost pump pressure may be high causing an overly rich mixture and causing the engine to die on rollout. If you are landing with the boost pump off, You may expericing heat soaking of the fuel and it turning to vapor in the fuel system before it reaches the fuel injectors. this will cause a lean mixture and the engine to die on rollout.
  21. Mooney parts book says it is an " AN5546-1"
  22. Don't rely on your fuel gauges. Make a fuel stick that you can manually check fuel quanity. Made mine from a wooden paint mixing paddle and marked with a Sharpie. I never leave the ground without "sticking" the tanks.
  23. All of them that I have seen match the outer ring. Miles for you.
  24. Airwolf makes a remote mount oil filter kit that moves the oil filter to an aera where you can acess the filter without making a mess.
  25. Its not really free speed if you figure your time spent polishing every few months. An airplane is for allowing you to accomplsh things faster and thus giving you more free time not using up what free time you have.... or to have fun.
