  6. Me too. I posted photos of today’s flight in another thread. Didn’t want to usurp @bonal today’s flight creations
  7. @adverseyaw and I did some formation practice today
  8. It was very thoughtful for the State of Washington to remind me this morning that my annual state aircraft excise tax ($65) is due on 1/1/2021. I think I’ll keep the $ until a little closer to the due date As a friendly reminder, your aircraft registration payment is due January 1, 2021. Avoid the rush by renewing your 2021 Washington State aircraft registration today!
  9. You know Brenda. I can’t make her do anything she doesn’t want to do.
  10. I thought it was snow at first glance
  11. GTX-330/ES in early 2016, just before Garmin announced the 345. Stratus for ADS-B in. Not worth it to me for $6K quoted to upgrade to the 345
  12. 125 (so far)
  13. Best Friends animal rescue had a Mooney that would transport dogs to the Utah facility. It appeared often in the National Geographic TV series https://bestfriends.org/sanctuary/explore-sanctuary/dogtown/series
  14. I find it fascinating that it was a couple of bicycle mechanics using trial and error, rather than engineers or physicists that figured out that machines really could be made to fly Happy holidays to you all.
  15. PCA installed my GTN 750, GTX330 ES and Flightstream 210. I was pleased with their work an they have always updated the software free of charge.
  16. Good documentary on Netflix. Lots of impressive air to air videos
  17. @FlyTester and @adverseyaw are the NW formation training organizers. They talked about a spring clinic but it hasn’t been scheduled yet

  20. Here is my new glass panel, picked out by Brenda
  21. I always checked MOS on the airport page in Foreflight as part of my preflight briefing. Sorry to see it go. I did notice it’s forecast for ceilings was usually more optimistic than the TAF. http://www.usairnet.com/cgi-bin/launch/code.cgi?state=WA&sta=KCLM is part of my preflight that I have found very helpful
  22. About 25 years ago something similar happened to me. A teenage foster child “borrowed “ his foster parents car late one night. In the ensuing joy ride being pursued by the police he failed to complete a left hand corner and hit the side of my office building, punching through the front wall and into the conference room. Insurance took care of it.
  23. I’ve only had one flat in 30 years and 2200 hours. Flew to Olympia KOLM on a Sunday. Landing and taxi to parking went fine but when I came out to leave an hour or so later a main tire was flat. Nobody was around the airport so I walked a half mile to a convenience store and bought a can of stop leak with compressed air. I was nervous on landing back home after a 40 minute flight but it held pressure. New tube installed before next flight
  24. I found a similar creature dead at the back of the hangar a few years ago. I surmised a neighbor had put out poison and the rat made it to our hangar before it succumbed. Maybe yours fell from overhead?
