  3. Def talk to @GEE-BEE AEROPRODUCTS he got the California chronic
  4. Can be a risk of upset stomach. Keep towels around. Stomach acid probably not good to leak into wing spar.
  5. I believe @gsxrpilot had this conversion done at Jewell. Or maybe a different deal. Idk.
  6. Lol first I’d seen it. they could be asking about your cars extended warranty instead
  7. https://www.icybreeze.com this one runs off its own battery apparently. Removes one step at least, having to run power from the cig lighter. Another weight sacrifice. Battery, ice, water, cooler.
  8. By the look on everyone’s face, you must be on your 4th or 5th lap of a holding procedure. =)
  9. RUFFalo. Nice dog pun
  10. My thought is the same, should have slowed way down in cruise, knowing how close you were getting. I sometimes let ATC distract me too, but I think the idea of thinking in front of the airplane and the system, would have warranted pulling power way back once you understand you’re about to get a slam dunk. 165 ias descent in the soup is no bueno, for me.
  11. She’s actually a pure breed Lagotto. No poodle at all. negative but ATC asks a lot. Just coincidence. Mooney took as many N201xx numbers they could get their hands on in 1977.
  12. Yeah, definitely definitely not cheaper unless you fly like, 300+ hours per year which is pretty tough to do if you have a life or aren’t retired. BUT as Doc mentioned, we can make the math work on paper, every time! Go for it!
  13. @201er I’ll sell you my N number for the cost of a new paint job so you can be legit!
  14. She did great. Thought it was the car.
  15. They were bad in my singular experience and she sounded shocked to hear other pilots had similar accounts.
  16. Yes it can, and it defies logic!!
  17. What a strange thread
  18. @GEE-BEE AEROPRODUCTS do you have any pics installed on an AC you could share?
  19. I prefer waterless but sometimes it’s too much pollen or dirt, even living in the hangar. That said, I prefer it not to be rained on or water washed, but it also rinses any ocean breeze off so pros and cons. When I do wet wash, I’ve started using a lot of blue painters tape. Windows, pitot, static, too of door seals etc. takes about 15 mins but makes me feel good.
  20. A little finicky. Not as simple to get a quick read. Has to be positioned correctly high on the wrist. Seems to be accurate-ish relative to a traditional finger clamp. Better than nothing, not the best.
  21. I say fix it. The man says money is no object here, and that’s the only thing from making her good as new. Money and running point on the logistical coordination.
  22. I used one for about the first 10 flights. Found the strategy for me, never use it now.
  23. I know on the G5 + gfc500 setup, there is no way to turn on the FD directly from the g5. It has to be activated from the AP head. But, it does allow you to run the FD with autopilot off.
