  1. The whole duty time of the other rules was why I opened this conversation. I don't know the other regulations but would like to know. Figured a few other guys would know easily from their daily vocation. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
  2. You'll enjoy this... My wife started wearing skirts when we fly. So she can more easily pee while we zoom along. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
  3. We just did Albuquerque to Sedona yesterday morning. It was a non issue. I don think I would do it at night though. Nice and smooth for us but it was light winds and high pressure. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
  4. Told my wife that last night - if she fell asleep then I probably was going to also Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
  5. Honestly it really was not easy at all. Highlighted to me the reality of get-there-itis. And we didn't even have a hotel room booked. Probably my type A, complete the mission mindset. Flew the rest of that leg this morning and honestly was glad we did it in daylight. The scenery is fabulous. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
  6. Wife and i took off from Dayton yesterday and planned to make it 3 legs totalling 10 hrs in foreflight. I called it about an hour from our destination as I wasn't comfortable with my performance at the time. First if all, an autopilot has to play in favorably here. Can't wait for trutrac to be certified for the Mooneys. Hand flying all day is a taxing experience. But that aside, has anyone placed max hours upon yourself? I see the value but don't know exactly where to start. I was good for the first 7-8 hrs but after that I noticed many errors in my flows. What do some of you all day for yourself? 7. I have one from sporty's that displays the ILS on the LCD screen. idea was worst case scenario it can do both com and nav duties. Hopefully I never needed to use it that way.
  8. Sounds like I'll be picking up an Amex personally. Thanks team. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
  9. My mother in law suggested what I think you are saying... Buy something local off airport like a Coke at a convenience store, then the card may be more likely to work? Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
  10. I can promise you I'm the most unusual millennial you'll ever meet. I've even got a work ethic. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
  11. They called my cell immediately from an IVR system but they wanted me to approve the last 5 purchases, one of them being my fuel but there was another in the last 5 for a hotel and we NEVER stay at a hotel. Probably relates to Airbnb for our Sedona trip but I didn't want the liability so I said no, had to approve or deny the whole 5 until batch and I'm guessing that was part of the problem. I was just coming back from taking my father in law on a flight over his home and he offered to fill us up. At first I said no but 20 mins later he won. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
  12. Is there any value to my less frequent card being one of the aviation specific fuel cards? Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
  13. Debit cards got me in trouble in college not recoding all my transactions. Now we linked all our cards to our checking to autopay the balance each month. We also get 2% on this card and usually rack up about 20k a year in cash rebates between our personal and business cards. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
  14. I think that was part of the issue. The pre-approval was going to the card co for almost $400 and it only took $150. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
  15. I'm at KCTJ with 13 gals of gas wanting to head home. At the pump and my card is declined. Called customer support and they said I'm outside my normal purchase window and asked if I was traveling. I repeated to her I own a plane, that's kinda the point of a plane. 17 mins into a hold and they still won't let me buy gas. How do you all work around this fraud prevention measures? I'm a millennial (barely) and I just NEVER carry cash. Maybe I need to. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
  16. @201er yes, you did. Well done. I didnt know what I didn't know.
  17. Thought I'd bring this back up. Finally have my MIL on my side. Getting to make the trip to CTJ this weekend. Amazing what 200 more hours and an IR does to the family's chill factor.
  18. I was kidding on it flying Alan. I'll try to call tomorrow. Thanks Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
  19. I'm kinda hard to nail down. Will you share the presentation for consumption at my leisure at a later time? Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
  20. How much to include the flap and aileron? I wouldnt want just a half baked board room table. Think we can fly it back to KDAY?
  21. How much for an an entire wing? Thinking it may make a sweet board room table Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
  22. Not necessarily picking up ice. The Venturi can form ice the same way you get carb ice in conditions above freezing. Something about some scientific principle lowering the temp of the accelerating air. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
  23. Don't count out an E model either. Otherwise it's a good list. I don't see a 201 windshield as critical but it's not my list Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
  24. That was a different guy with his g3x in the short body. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
  25. There is no sanity on Facebook Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
