I'll give that a try; maybe it will at least help the display portion. -
king radio comm WTB/Trade for KY 197
Stephen replied to Stephen's topic in Avionics / Parts Classifieds
Thanks Paul, at least appreciate the thought! I may just sent the dumb thing in; but wanted to shake the MS tree to see if anyone had a 197 gathering dust. -
Hi fellow MS'ers. My KY 197 is kaput. The display is wonky with digit segments dropping or persisting so it is difficult/impossible to validate that the correct channel is selected. The swap button only works after a few tries and then much of the time it won't bring in a channel. ..basically it is toast. I have called and can have it overhauled for around .5AMU but wanted to see if anyone had one sitting around a shelf ornament that works that would like to git rid of it cheaply so I can just plug in a replacement. Basically the goal is to get a working com to provide a working COM2 to my current COM1 (530W). PM me if you have something that might fit the bill. Thanks, Stephen

Honestly might as well...whats left? That beautiful aircraft just needs more MP in the flight levels to go with that amazing panel!!
-
I'd love to have it if you still have it. My KY197 is hosed and I am down to 1 Comm!

Flew from Bentonville , AR (KVBT) to Ankeney, IA (KIKV) to drop off my daughter's dog that we watched while her and her hubby went on an Alaska cruise. Took youngest son up too so he can hang with his older sister for a week or so. Dropped off dog in Des Moines, Then ferried daughter and son down to KC Intl (KMCI) so she could p/u her car that was stranded at the airport when the airlines couldn't get them back to where they flew out of due to WX. Quite a day, ended up with 6.3 in the books. IMG_2684.MOV Me: Don't have a pic of the dog but pretty much looks like this but with lots more hair (Its a Corgi):

I'm only seeing his US domestic flight to FXE on that link, is there some setting/account level at FlightAware that lets you see his more current activity?- 439 replies

Greetings gentlemen, Those of you who have fabricated a hitch for a mowing tractor to interface with a tow-bar, if you wouldn't mind posting pic of how you fabricated/braced the hitch mount to the tractor it might give me some creative ideas. I was planning on mounting a hitch to the font frame of this 22HP Craftsman lawn tractor which I got running for $250 (w/o a deck):

Could be an interesting location if it gets clean airflow.
