  1. Yeah, but at least it is SumthinAwing....right now I got NuthinAwing.
  2. I THOUGHT IT WAS MY HEARING!!!?? WHAT? WHAT??!
  3. Try looking at my weekly scenario. Airline prices at KUIN > KXNA ...note flight time of 7+ hrs. (this is about a cheap as I've seen these tickets as well...often cluster to $1K.) VS what I do weekly: My actual fuel burn is 17-18 Gal. Block time 2:40 I would guess. I do this weekly to do IT work for a big company in Bentonville. It is why I bought the Mooney. Ironically, even making the 6 hr one-way drive 9which (note the blue stuff in above graphic) is faster than the airlines. Given the Midwest icing, probably be doing the drive more this winter :/ I think my block (leaving home in Hannibal to mooney in hangar in Rogers) is about 2:40 ish +/- "Go Mooney!" anyone???

  5. Thanks PMC, I will!
  6. Thanks 58N! If anyone has a cowl off and has a pic that would be great.
  7. Does anyone have an installation pic and or part number foe the engine to airframe bonding strap foe anM20F, mine is 1969
  8. Yeah, kinda has an Aztec (tribe, not Piper) thing goin' on
  9. Springfield, MO has also been known to toss a few...
  10. Beauty! Enjoy the new experience!
  11. Thanks, pretty poor trade for those other MS'ers helping me out with my troubleshooting issues, offering to lend me an OAT gauge, sending me their old instrument panels (Chris!) etc.... etc... etc... , but It is what I had to contribute so figure "why not".
  12. Nice ride; congrats!!
  13. I went ahead and ordered a basic OAT gauge (scott type) through the windshield to get by for now...so cancel the APB on finding a used one.
  14. Thanks Bob, I was talking with another mechanic about plugging it with silicone, wondering if it would hold up ok. Sounds like it does. Like you once I am through my EDM teething problems and get OAT back on the black box, I would rather delete the windshield OAT snorkel. Good call thanks for sharing.
  15. A series of pics would be welcome if you have any
  16. I think if i run new, dedicated grounds joining engine to airframe to instrument panel (per Anthony) and EDM to engine that should remove grounding as a variable. Ill do that next
  17. Like that since first installed
  18. Yeah ... basically 10ths are useless. JPI has been good (for what works) but also Very expensive and frustrating.
  19. Hi Bob, huge thanks for the offer; I may still take you up on it and will PM if so. I PMd CWF (he's next state over in TX) let me see what the $ scoop is there (if I get the EDM working I may make a permanent windshield plug out of it) .
  20. DXB thanks for the intel....I posted a video of mine above .... is that what you were seeing? Bob and Anthony thanks also. I'll ask JPI for a snubber.
  21. Thanks Chris, was kinda wondering if I had a system wide issue that was causing my OAT and manifold and Amp readings to be wonkey. I'll look into flying the $@&$ thing down to JPI to get it definitively fixed if I can't ID the issue. I can't get it to go above 2 AMPs will all switches on; it constantly bounces around from 0-2 at most.
  22. It is grounded to the engine block I'll have to get the exact place. In the meantime here is a vid of my fluxuation in MP at stable, level cruise IMG_3489.mp4
