  1. Eric, any chance those work for the 4000 series as well? At some point my dual mag was upgraded to the 4000 model. When we installed it after the last 500hr check we just used a bolt to time it. These studs would help out a lot. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I love my plane doesn’t suck..... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Hey Jim. I have a friend that will be pulling his sending units out mid November. If you don’t find any foe then I’m sure he’ll sell them to you. He has a 67’ F Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  5. What about brakes? Before I change them I need to inspect them and decide if they need to be changed. If I determine they need changed isn’t that due to an inspection? And changing my brakes is covered under preventative maintenance? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. This post is titled nothing to see here... for the second weekend I flew to Troutdale to see my new baby nephew and watch my niece play softball. On the flight home both Sunday’s was full of IMC moderate rain and a few icing reports. The joys of flying in the PNW come fall, winter, and spring time!!!! It’s been great having the plane to make fast family trips but I will be spending sometime soul searching for another Mooney with much better ice protection now that I have my IR. On a side note it looked like my nephew was impressed with the beard:) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Free plane wash Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I got to see it twice, once in Vegas right after I passed my IR and most recently at Oshkosh. It was a thing of beauty. I’m a little heart broken. Mike and Draco did a lot over the last year to energize aviation!!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Lol, I might have flown over that when I brought my plane home... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. That’s right if you are interested in learning where the middle of no where is fly into KGCD John Day Oregon on September 28th for an end of summer barbq. I’ll be providing hamburgers, hotdogs, and sides. Hope to see you there. I’ll plan on firing up the grill by 11. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I sent a message but haven’t heard back if I’m the winner:) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  14. Busy weekend, Thursday the 5th flew over to my mechanic to have some work done. Was planning to be home that night but the weather didn’t work out. Friday started bright an early to get home and packed up for a formation clinic in Pendleton Or. It was a great time with everyone, I look forward to flying with everyone soon!!! 15. I thought that to. But if Mike doesn’t like it he will come up with a way to fix it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. If there is anyone in the PNW area looking to replace their side windows. I would be more than happy to fly over and help out. It’s a job I would like to do on my plane but would like to help and see it done first. I have concerns on mixing and applying the sealant correctly. I’m good with removing interior and being a general helping hand. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Forgot to post, but it was a loose connection. Easy peasy Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. I’ll look forward to it! We will miss you in Pendleton this weekend. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. It’s gone down in price, I had to buy one two years ago for $1,300. I talked to the company that rebuilds them. If it’s over a certain age they won’t rebuild them. I want to say it was three years. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. For sure!!! I do get excited when someone flies in and doubled the populations of Mooney’s at my home field. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Hey it’s been awhile since this thread was hit up and I’m sure we have a few new members that wouldn’t mind being on the map. Paul, probably dumb question but does the lay out on ForeFlight get updated? Or do I have to reload it?
  22. Thanks for the info. Lol, you lost me at 12 gallons an hour. I’m pretty happy with 1010lbs of useful load my J has. Never flown in a Bo but I’m sure they are nice aircraft. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. So much flying in the last month I haven’t been able to post on this thread. Oshkosh was a blast and look forward to next year! I went up this morning for a short flight to warm up the oil and decided to check out a close by short airport. I didn’t plan on landing but once I flew over it I figured it was doable. It’s now the shortest and narrowest airport in my log book. And probably as back country and tinny airport I’ll ever land at in the Mooney. My wing span being just over 6’ wider than the runway. Landing on 32 you are landing a little up hill but into rising no go around terrain. Another first for me in this plane. Exciting times, now to finish the dirty work.... 24. Love the blue!!!! Congrats. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Mr. Strader, formation flying isn’t for everyone. If you don’t like it, then you probably shouldn’t do it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
