  1. You guys should do Catalina Saturday and Sunriver Sunday... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I’ve been in Lone Mountain’s shop and talked to the owner and a few of their techs. I would have no problem with them doing a prebuy and let them turn it into an annual for you. Seem to be A+ people. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. A good test on the engine performance is to do the North town 5 departure out of KVGT. If they don’t have to box turn you to get over McCarin in that heat with three people in the plane you have a winning engine:) I know three Mooney experienced instructors out of there one will be busy getting ready for Oshkosh Mike Radomsky, in case anyone else mentions his name, Janet and Luis are the other two. Janet is an airline pilot she owns a J and Luis has an aviation school he’s probably your best bet to schedule for availability. If you can’t get in touch with him let me know. 4. My normal call out is 60 at 1000. I want to be doing 60 miles an hour at the 1,000ft mark. It’s pretty conservative but if I’m heavy it will take a lot of runway to stop if I’m doing the 50/70 rule. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Formation practice in Seattle area. Madison can’t get here soon enough. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I’ve never flown into Newport. But sounds like a good reason for the trip... Hope things get settled soon. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Dang...... That sounds rough!!!! When is the next BBQ? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. What is the time frame of being airborne again? Hope it sooner than later. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. July 7th flying into Sunriver Oregon S21 for lunch if anyone’s interested. Possible six Mooney’s so far. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I have the ACR aqualink it’s mounted just below my flap switch. It’s easy to reach for me or the passenger. But if I was to buy another PLB I would buy the Rescume PLB1 and carry it on my person at all times. Then I don’t have to worry about forgetting it while escaping the plane in a fire or sinking. 11. If this pilot was thrill seeking and didn’t have a mechanical or medical issue then I will actually shrug it off more so than a loss of thought that leads to a gear up, or a mechanical or medical crash. Because I’m not in the category of pilot that wants to see how low I can go doing as fast as I can. So it’s not even on my radar. If this pilot was thrill seeking then he ended up on the wrong side of the bell curve of life and adventure. Luckily he didn’t take anyone with him. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. @thinwing get your name on the list... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I’ll be there with a friend. Look forward to meeting everyone. Charles - Xcrmckenna Bubs Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Upgrades are a disease, even if I think the $3,900 for my power flow should have gone elsewhere in the plane... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Anyone arriving in Madison on or before the 18th are you interested in golfing a few holes on the 18th? I was looking at the Bridges golf course. It’s right next to KMSN. It would be cool if it could turn into an annual pre Oshkosh week. They have clubs to rent so no need to bring yours, or use the excuse you don’t have a set:) https://www.golfthebridges.com/ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I’m also thinking further events. Or the days I’m to hungover to get out of my tent... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. I stayed there three years ago when I bought my plane and it was going through a prenup at DUGOSH. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Got the ice chest figured out, I bought the rtic 30 and a backpack style for all the walking around I’ll be doing. Thanks for all the input. *New question* For the people with solar chargers what models are you using? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Sounds like good times, but I think I’m with Paul in this one. I’m looking forward to hanging out with everyone at the campsite. Not having the little one and better half, camping will be a little easier [emoji51][emoji51][emoji51] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Thanks for the pirep. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Any leaks? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. That’s a great idea if it wasn’t so hard to take out my back seat. But I might work on it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. The bkool is a good idea but I’m wanting the soft side one for space savings on the way there and back. I’ll have a friend with me so I want to keep as much available space for tents and cheap oil on the way home....[emoji23][emoji23][emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. It is, it totally is the ugliest one I found:) It’s three dollars less than the other colors they have in the same model. But I figured if I saved a few bucks I wouldn’t have to worry about anyone snagging it. My plan isn’t to have it filled with ice while in the plane just at the camp site so I can have something cool to drink when I need a rest from all the wonderful activities that is Oshkosh Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Trying to get my gear together for camping at Oshkosh. And wondering if anyone has tips on a soft side cooler? I would like a larger one. I found this one on Amazon but up for advice from the experts... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
