  1. Didn’t make it to Vegas today, weather coming back on Monday doesn’t look good. But weather is looking good enough for next weekends trip. Steve I will keep you posted. Mitch, would like to meet up sometime! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. That could work, I’ll let you know. I’m in Facebook jail so won’t be able to post or reply to anything there. Get some rest and feel better soon! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Yeah it’s getting out of Oregon that’s the problem. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I’m flying into Vegas tomorrow, will be there the next two weekends. Was wondering if anyone wanted to meet up Saturday or Sunday. Hangar 24 at Lake Havasu is a good place for lunch. If I have time, ending up in Cali for lunch would be tolerable:) Hope to see some of ya. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Well that was anticlimactic... Your day job sounds pretty awesome!!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I second@PT20J question and statement. Very interested in having that boarder around my wingwalk when I redo mine. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Plane? Don’t see it... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Speaking of Spruce Creek. One of my non aviation friends lives there and she sent me their annual calendar. I was a little disappointed not a Mooney to be seen:( Tom maybe you can get a formation group together down there and get a picture with you leading:) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. If you don’t know it by now then it’s to late. If you have prepared and worked hard have faith in what you do know and in your instructor they have taught you well. Best advice at this stage I ever got is relax and know you got this... If you have more than days before your check ride I would go spend sometime with another instructor so you feel to uneasiness of someone new sitting next to you and have them put you through a mock check ride. Have fun and enjoy that IR when you get it!!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Right, unless you forget you just used it up. [emoji2357] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Sounds like my landing in Sunriver last weekend. There was no NOTAM on the awos and didn’t know about the runway conditions till my buddy that landed about five minutes before me gave me a heads up. The landing was the easy part, taking off on a runway that was the hard part. The runway had thawed in patches making bare pavement in places, water covered ice, and slush. The transition from p factor, ground control, to rudder control was quite the ballet with the rudder peddles. Glad you came out safe. I think I’m ready for the ice runway I believe in New Hampshire. 12. Pilots will find a way to run out of fuel no matter what add ons they have in their plane. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. In that case you’ll have a new Acclaim... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. That’s awesome! I’m sure he had a smile on for most of the night!!!! Out of curiosity, how do I make my Lycoming sound like that???? Is it an STC?[emoji7][emoji7][emoji7] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Stop in KGCD on your way and we can go in formation style:) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. If you do, I can get you in the Mooney. But they do have airline service into Redmond. It’s about a 40 minute drive to Sunriver or a 15 minute Mooney flight:) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. @thinwing see you there.... Anyone that’s been to Sunriver knows it’s pretty hard to pass up this fun filled weekend. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Flew to Sunriver for lunch today. First time I’ve had the mooney on a Snow/Slush/Ice runway. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I’ve had two MSC’s raise my plane. DUGOSH will lift the plane up by a prop stand and Advance weighs the tail down. Between the two I would rather have the tail weighted down but ideally I would rather the nose be raised by lifting on the engine mount with an engine hoist. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Those look nice! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. What is the difference between the digital and the analog probe? And does the GAD 13 care what one it gets the data from? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. I would like to upgrade my glare shield light strip and add some Nulite or UMA instrument lighting. Has anyone installed this led red and white strip and dimmer? Or are these legal in certified planes? I haven’t heard back from my avionics tech if they are or not. https://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/elpages/dualchannelpwm.php https://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/inpages/flexibleLED_red12.php Or any other lighting suggestions? 23. @John Mininger I’m in need of replacing my motor mounts and was planning to go with the Barry’s to save some money. I was wondering if you ended up replacing your mounts and what brand you went with? Thank you
  24. Thanks @M20Doc for the added suggestion on replacing the mounting plates. I finally got this well needed job done today. I added epoxy between the aluminum and fiberglass. Everything should be good and dry tomorrow.
  25. This Sunday I flew an hour each way to try them out. Well worth the flight. But that’s not saying much when it comes to the love of flight. It wasn’t worth stabbing someone or waiting in line for an hour but good. You should open a Popeyes in John Day.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
