  1. 300 years? You've had it awhile ....
  2. I screwed up and did something, so I'm out. Really thought id be better at nothing, but oh well
  3. I'm pretty sure the "S" is for "secure"
  4. So far so good (3 years). Not sure what the material is but I'm sure if you contacted LASAR they would know
  5. Bad link. Hot Starts
  6. The airframe type seal is what I have and is absolutely junk, seals good and all but gets torn really easy
  7. So 2 seperate flights and they are bidding on a single flight for 2....... Most of the auctions I've been part of start out low to gain interest (momentum). Since you are donating plane and service your cost is the same regardless of what the final bids are. The starting price can always be lowered if no bids are placed, if it's a silent auction and the price is lowered be sure that it announced so those that pasted it up can reconsider
  8. will it be a single fight or multiple flights?
  9. Finally a topic I know a lot about
  10. @Marauder shoot them an email and see what that gets ya
  11. If I remember correctly the early ratio was 40:1 and the new (replacement) gear motors are 20:1
  12. Aircraft Door Seals on the baggage door has work well, the one on the cabin door gets jacked up fairly quick, will go back to O.E.M. seal with in the year
  13. No really outside more like the belly of the beast. I think there are documented instances where something has fallen into the opening where the boot was missing or damaged and jammed the aileron control rods which are very close to the J-bar under the floor
  14. It's my understanding that the FSDO in the past had the option of assigning a DPE for the initial CFI check ride if the they didn't have time/resources and now you just schedule with the DPE
  15. $950.00 for a rebuilt truss from LASAR according to their website
  16. @Jarod O might want to edit your post to enclude year and model, for those that might not know the part numbers
  17. That is way more than the norm, it doesn’t take much to have the truss be deemed unairworthy
  18. It can still be damaged, the line person just has to work harder at it....
  19. Seems like around 50 bucks, but I can't be sure. The other place would be aero comfort in San Antonio. The one from LASAR is fabric while the one Aero Comfort is leather, I went fabric due to the lack of clearance between the J-Bar and the front wheel well
  20. Got mine from LASAR
  21. 1st pg, last post
  22. congrats! and Welcome!!
  23. A few years ago while visiting the wife's family in the Detroit area she asked if I was going to help her brother shovel snow off the driveway and sidewalk, my reply was I didn't remember him helping with the yard work last winter when they came to visit us.
  24. During my Primary training we flew in the rain several times, during my Instrument training we got caught in a heavy rain, it was so loud you couldn't hear the plane running or each other on the intercom
  25. 55 with rain on Friday, if it makes you feel any better......
