  1. Landing Fees are BS, period, Most all airports are Federally funded, which is just another way of saying Taxs dollars
  2. The journey is the best part of a lot of destinations
  3. @super6 , just go for it, Once the project is underway there will be plenty of support here on MooneySpace
  4. Looks like a fuel stain (weap)
  5. According to the Maintenance Manual (which covers the 63' M20C) when weighing and getting the CG, both fuel and oil is drained
  6. All the replies pretty much confirms my suspicion. Old placard has been replaced with one that now reads correct. The previous owner sometimes shows up at the QB meeting which is this coming Tuesday, I'll see if he remembers anything about it
  7. I believe you mean maximum weight
  8. @J0nathan225 was the valve stem straight when the tire was installed? Landing with low tire PSI will allow the tire to rotate (slip) on the wheel, eventually it will pull the valve stem off the tube.
  9. Mine was installed outbound from the right MLG and forward of the spar. Also the wing inspection panels have a weep hole in the center, the ones for the tanks do not
  10. TCDS shows 2 gallons at -7.4” (minus 7.4”)
  11. That is for the O-360 and the HC-C2YR-1BF/F7666A-2, I have an IO-360 and Hartzell HC-C2YK-1B/7666A-2
  12. The 2000~2350 is for my engine & prop combo, the tach is marked as well. Maybe the A&P was a brand X driver and didn’t like getting pasted by the Mooney so restricted the RPM to 2600?....lol
  13. It’s definitely homemade, just trying to confirm it isn’t necessary
  14. Yes I know, but the plane currently has a placard that I can not find listed. I want to make sure it was placed there in error and not something I have overlooked
  15. not sure where they got the info from for the placard....i'm stumped too
  16. In the process of redoing a few of the placards in my M20-E and researching to verify the correct wording but I cant seem to find one that is on the panel now. The one in question is printed on a clear label that a previous owner installed / or had installed, the first line reads “AVOID CONTINUOUS OPERATION BETWEEN 2000 AND 2350 RPM” which I have found and verified, the second line reads “ABOVE 2600 RPM IN FULL THROTTLE LEVEL FLIGHT”. I have looked everywhere I can think of and can’t seem to find anything referencing the second line of text “ABOVE 2600 RPM IN FULL THROTTLE LEVEL FLIGHT”. I have looked in the POH and the Type Certificate Data Sheets for Mooney M20E, Lycoming IO-360-A1A, Hartzell HC-C2YK-1B (Blades are 7666A-2), Airworthy Directives and Service Bulletins. I called a buddy that has a M20C and his does not have “ABOVE 2600 RPM IN FULL THROTTLE LEVEL FLIGHT”. I have also search here on MS with no luck, has anyone ever seen this and if so can you point me in the direction of the document that has it. Info: 1965 M20E Lycoming IO-360-A1A HC-C2YK-1B
  17. I’ve never lost the GPS signal with the onboard unit, even in my all metal hangar
  18. Was posted 2 yrs ago, might want to pm the seller and see if it still on the market
  19. The outside nut is held stationary and you loosen the inside nut, the coax is made into the outside nut
  20. Which nut are you trying to loosen, inside or outside ?
  21. I've had my mini for around five years, time to upgrade so I can continue to use WingX, might just get the mini-4.
  22. Mine was a piece of the friction lock fiber getting between the inner cable and outer sheath
  23. My bet is NASA has some COOL toys
  24. Unbelievable that the T-28 looks un damaged, there will be a civil suit over this one
