  1. several places that can make (rebuild) yours, not all that spendy doing one riser but I would inspect the others closely
  2. I wouldn't use a pump that is not rated for gasoline. Siphon it out, use the boost pump to get the last few gallons out
  3. Home drone just installed solar taxi lights (no lights before) they're bright. Years ago they installed lead in lighting for one three, they would cast a shadow on the headliner from a half mile out, they were so bright I landed on three one instead. A few days later I was at the FBO and mentioned they were blinding and they had them adjust to a more down angle and that solved the issue
  4. It might be a long shot, but look in the logbook or other documentation when the conversion was done
  5. I hate flying solo, but that gear wig-wag is way cool.
  6. Nope, what is on the screen is all
  7. Engine oil removes heat, lower oil levels can't dissipate as much heat. As the oil temp goes up oil pressure goes down....
  8. @kpaul, @DonMuncy we did the same at a shop I worked at, we just drained a single qt at a time into a 1 gallon water/milk jug. We never ran it anything other than our forklift due to the fact it was a potpourri of brands and weights.
  9. I use to be really good at Math, pocket calculators and the personal computers have all but ruined me
  10. true...but not wanting to get into a piss'n contest it will change the resulting torque..Pythagorean Theorem

  12. top of the list, well 5 item down on Mooneys100 Hour-Annual Inspection Guide
  13. I think he retrieved (pulled) them from his app
  14. I change the oil & filter every 40 hrs which gives me a 10 hour buffer if needed. Oil is cheap compared to the parts it protects. Personally I see no point in waiting hours or even days for the oil to drain, warm the oil up either by idling, taxi or flight, warm oil drains better and it suspends the byproducts so they flow out with the oil.
  15. Air will eventually work its way "up"..... But why not just follow the procedure in the maintinace manual?
  16. Didn't the tooling for both the cowl closure & 201 windshield get damaged or something?
  17. My guess is it's 2 seperate pieces of software, one for the applicationand and a seperate one for the registry
  18. If memory serves, the hole is beveled on the ball side
  19. Should have parked it facing uphill.........
  20. When I got me IR it only took a few weeks for the new plastic to come in, but that was 5yrs ago. When I purchased the plane it took almost a full year, I called several times to see what was going on (web said pending), was told no issues, just backlogged, then they lost all the paper work and I had to send it all back in...3 or 4 weeks on the second try
  21. @PilotCoyote awesome to see an old bird get some TLC. A bunch of elbow grease, but it’s worth it, most will say “why?” But who cares, have fun with your project. Looking good
  22. Use a good fitting screwdriver, your about to remove close to 1000 screws on inspection & belly panels alone. If you run into a screw that is troublesome, leave it for your A&P, they should know the tricks to remove it.
  23. 38" sitting height for my self, also wear a ball cap 99% of the time, haven't had an issue in mine
  24. STC, 337 or just a logbook entry?
