  6. Matt, My short part of the story. I found a Mooney I liked, I was looking for a 172, but stumbled upon this M20E. I looked for a ride and could not find one.So I just bought it, sight unseen, never flown a Mooney. Then I found a flight instructor with a Mooney and did some transition training. The first time in his Mooney F, I was shocked how small it was ,I said out loud "Oh my god what have I done" Well I'll flip it, I thought. Then I flew 5 hours with him. By the time I got my Mooney , I had already become a Mooniac. Now I think it is one of the greatest planes, and very comfortable, of them all.. I'm in Pennsylvania or we could fly. carl

  13. Bob you are right there ,i do admit im a low hour flyer . so that is say every 3 months so the expense is not a big deal but there should be a good filter that cleans out this micro abrasives . there isnt .
  14. 10 hour oil changes are what im doing .. i know everyone thinks its overkill. but even camguard says 10 hour oil is corrosive . it contains micro abrasives that wear away at the engine _________________________________ i like the io 360 because of no carb ice concerns .
  15. i think owning an airplane is only reasonable because you like airplane maintenance. all of them are maintenance intensive. it is just a crapshoot when engine esproblems happens . but i will say everyone is wrong in there opinions of changing oil . 10 hours . carl
