  4. HA ! you should study youtube Flying the Grumman TBF "Avenger" Torpedo Bomber (1944) HA HA Don't , Really , I am more confused each day, . I do feel now if I screw up and "over speed " (Square) than I'm OK at least a little.
  5. Ross, I am thinking; pull the throttle back to 25 inches Manifold Pressure, then the prop back to 25 hundred RPM . If I just pull the prop back to 25 hundred rpm and leave the throttle full in wouldn't the MP be greater then the RPM , a very bad thing, as I was taught. RPM bigger than MP. Carl
  6. oh yeah, what does , Flight Authority mean? carl
  7. Wow sounds like Montreal is the place to be.. I found my FRN registration restricted radiotelephone operator permit, but as Yves says "don't worry about it" i don't find it in these requirements from Transport Canada Pilot Documentation Pilot Certificate, valid Medical Certificate Proof of citizenship (passport, birth certificate and photo ID) Refer to: Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA): www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca U.S. recreational pilot certificates and sport pilot certificates are not recognized in Canada. Licences and certificates that meet the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) standards are valid for operating aircraft between the U.S. and Canada. Aircraft Documentation Certificate of Registration Weight and Balance Information Flight Authority Proof of Liability Insurance Operating Limitations The CARs require pilots to carry proof of liability insurance on board their aircraft when operating in Canadian airspace. This applies to all aircraft, including private, amateur-built and ultralight aircraft. The type of coverage is based on the aircraft’s gross take-off weight (CAR 606.02). Thanks for all you input, I will advise if I go.

  10. this is what i try to do . but sometimes i get all messed up. full throttle . two pumps flaps 65 mph rotate . pitch for 85 vx gear comes up . johnson bar. mp and rpm to 25./25 boost pump off 85 mph pitch downward for 107mph vy and flaps come up as mph increases above 85 im still over.the runway it happens so fast. after i clear the runway and have my crash landing spot picked out i pitch for 120 mph climb out and usually start my turnout . i cruise just about like hank does . 23 rpm for just flying the 24/ 24 25/25 but my typical trip is to run laundry up to my son at clarion college . 45 minutes by air 2 and a half hours by car . . sometimes the flights can take all day . cause they are just too fun carl

  12. 1)maybe i came in on the middle of something i dont understand . but i have seen michae fly his parrots and it is amazing . 2) michael is the sole reason i have a mooney now . 3) michael' s flying videos are instructional and enjoyable . 4)michael is the reason i own a mooney. his video showing "taking delivery of my mooney " . was my motivation after.i watched that video i sent.my offer, and i mean i watched the video and committed and sent.it that minute . if.i had watched piperpainters videos.i would not.have. .(but i like them too) 5)his video to the north of canada is nearly epic.. 6)this guy flew from NJ to Disneyland non stop with a super foxy lady .
