  1. Congratulations Jeff.
  2. Hi Paul. Can you please add me as well? I think I corrected my profile to add my location. Thanks. Fernando
  3. Agree Bryan. That paint stretching the window line looks great.
  4. Bryan, Really nice paint job! Is that an original version or did you modify the original pattern? Fernando
  5. Then I would follow Bob's suggestion and see if TopGun or LASAR can send someone to pick it up and bring it to their shop. It's more expensive for you, but worth it.
  6. This is a red flag for me. Did he explain why he would not fly it there, but allegedly would let his CFI do it? Mooneys are travelling machines. If you are paying for gas, I see no reason not to bring it to Top Gun or Lasar for the prebuy. Try to talk to him some more to get a better feel for the reason he does not want to fly it there. If he is not comforable flying the airplane for some reason, I would consider paying a CFI to ferry it there. However, If the reason does not make sense, I would pass. I want an expert to do the prebuy. By the way, this airplane does look very nice from the pictures online. Good luck.
  7. Congratulations Derek. Good thing, as your plane was torturing me! Enjoy having your RV-9 back. Regards, Fernando
  8. Chrixxer, I completely understand, and don't let the lack of hangar bother you. Just get a good cover, plugs, and keep the airplane washed and waxed. To get back to your original question, I also think Planecover is the best, followed by Bruce. Enjoy your new E! Regards, Fernando
  9. Thanks. I was based there a long time for a short period of time. Very strange, but happy I have a hangar now.
  10. Do you mind sharing which airport he keeps the airplane at in the DC area? I'm just curious as that is the area where I fly from. In the past I have owned three airplanes which were kept outside, and I never saw anything like this. Did he not fly for a four month period? Thanks, Fernando
  11. Congratulations! But we need to see pictures or it did not happen!
  12. Roger, with that response I would walk away and never look back. To me, 45K is a lot of hard earned money. Glad the seller does not appear to think so, even though by his own admission he cannot afford both the E and the Twin. Way too many red flags already ....
  13. I would not recommend you try it and give the TFR a wide berth. You will likely get a Blackhawk or jet fighter escort. They take that TFR very seriously around here.
  14. Oscar, beautiful family. Glad you got a great day for a Tangier visit. Fernando
  15. Congratulations! Looks like a very nice E model. Enjoy. Fernando
  16. Lance, I am very sorry for your loss, and you will be in our thoughts. The pictures are great, and I'm so happy that you were able to share in your Dad's passion for aviation. He will always be with you in your future aviation adventures. Thank you for sharing. Fernando
  17. I'm guessing not stepping on the brakes inadvertently.
  18. Agree, great purchase. Today I went flying with a friend in his Comanche and brought the sensor. I was surprised. When flying along it was in the 20s, but when doing slow flights it got into the 40s and later, waiting on the ground to take off after some practice landings, it got as high as the 60s. I was able to alert him to this problem, which is great. Also, I had it strapped on the belt across my chest, and the alarm went off. That vibration alarm is excellent. While I like the position in the panel, the vibration on my body got my attention immediately. Use this, and stay safe out there! I'm so happy I bought this. Fernando
  19. That is great news Paul! Glad to hear your Mooney will fly again soon. Enjoy. Fernando
  20. Those are quite the scary pictures!
  21. Congratulations! As others have said, keep using the skills or they go away pretty fast.
  22. The restaurant is just as good as before. I really like the breakfast there. Only two Mooneys made it, but we had a good time. Hopefully you guys can join us next time. Fernando
  23. Hi Dan. First, thank you for arranging this. Second, could you mind explaining why you went with the industrial model versus the standard? If you are just interested in cockpit use, is there any benefit that we would miss for that application? As far as I can see the industrial warns you of explosive environments. Thanks again. Fernando
  24. Vince, Thanks. I went to the site and now the cheapest one is $95. I have a hard time justifying that price. Anyone else have one that they are willing to part with for a reasonable sum? Thanks, Fernando
