  1. Had my first annual with PJ based on recommendations here. Very happy and very fair pricing. Had a cylinder #3 problem that PJ uncovered and frankly was not a surprise as suspected something was going on (compression on that cylinder had dropped significantly the previous annual) PJ sent me borescope pics of the burnt exhaust valve and kept me in the loop for all decisions. Got my plane back and all was good. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I signed up. Looking forward to it Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  3. Never heard of it.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I think you will need both with dual G5’s with one of them as an HSI and you want to use the AP in heading mode. Without it you will only have GPS track mode. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  5. Global through AOPA $750 for $55k for my 67C Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  6. 1000 pounds of people in my 67 C? No problem. I even have enough room for 4 gallons of fuel. I can taxi them all around the airport. There is your airplane ride [emoji16] Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  7. 1300 hours in my 67 C and my doors are not stained. Lots of good leaning advice, but I still would want to know what your oil consumption is. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  8. Don’t know. They were surviving only because the alternatives were so expensive. That has changed. It does not look good for them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I used to rent a lot. Now I just UBER everywhere and rent only when absolutely necessary Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  10. It has already been mentioned, but Spruce Creek is really cool. Good restaurant and I just love the whole vibe of that place. Been there 3 times and was invited each time by a couple of different folks. I think legally you need to be invited but not sure if they really hold you to that. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  11. Surprised no one mentioned Flagler (KFIN). High Jackers right on the field. Good place to eat. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  12. Everglades Airpark (X01). Great during crab season. Restaurant phone numbers posted on terminal building. Call the restaurant and they will come pick you up at the airport and drop you off after you finish. Sometimes I’ll stop there on my way to the Keys just to refuel and avoid paying high fuel prices at the Keys. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  13. That is unsatisfactory. If you are gracious enough to lend someone here a tool you should expect to get it back. He may have just forgotten to return it in which case you should remind him. If still no joy then it’s a stolen tool and you should call him out here. I have offered to lend tools here before so definitely would want to know who NOT to lend tools to. 14. Considering that it is just you and your wife an older F, E, or even a C with a great panel may be a good option. Certainly an E with a very good IFR panel and Autopilot may work very well with your budget and still give you the speed you are looking for while keeping maintenance cost down. 16. Look like a nice C. New paint nice panel, AP, speed mods, nice interior. If it was mine I would not sell it under 50K Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. 1967 C model. Sign me up!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Very sad to hear this. Jerry was extremely helpful and always a pleasure doing business with Brittain AP. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  19. A new iPad mini 4 with a custom cover Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  20. Had mine to 16500 once and she was still climbing. Curious what MP were you able to develop at 18k Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  21. Zulu 3s for me. Zulu 2 before that. I don’t like ear plugs and the Zulus work great in my C. I think you will find choice of headset is pretty much a personal preference. Lightspeed has good customer support. I ran over the cord with my seat once and they fixed it quick and a no cost. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  22. One time update is like $170. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  23. I have one too and I’m up here JAX just north of you. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  24. Absolutely. In less than 5 minutes is academic, but in those few minutes I prefer to actively manage my temps. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. I have a 67C with an engine monitor. My POH says 26/2600 for cruise climb. I have tested this and WOT climbs at the same speed in the summer here in FL many times. 26/2600 at 120 results in CHTs below 400. WOT/2700 leads to CHTs in the 420-430 range. I don’t care if get to cruise altitude a few minutes earlier at WOT, I’m not going to operate my engine at 430 degrees in a climb. This is a fact of life in carb engines and probably different for the IO360. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
