yvesg Posted August 8, 2013 Report Posted August 8, 2013 Looks likes Canadians are OK with touch and goes: To meet the 6-month requirement for carrying passengers, you must have completed 5 takeoffs and landings in the same category and class within the previous 6 months. If the flight is to be flown at night then the takeoffs and landings must have been completed at night. No full stop requirement. With the runways covered with ice half of the time, we can hardly make full stops anyway.... lolll Yves Quote
jetdriven Posted August 8, 2013 Report Posted August 8, 2013 In that case, a touch and go may be the safer alternative ! Quote
BigTex Posted September 12, 2013 Report Posted September 12, 2013 To continue this discussion, I was out at Don Maxwell's place on Monday and American was out their with their new A319 shooting touch and go's. According to Don, they don't have their A319 simulators up and running yet so all the training has to be in their real thing. Pretty interesting and it never gets old watching these jets staying in the traffic pattern doing touch-n-goes. Another thing that I never get used to is when you turn final and hear the tower say "American 1234 cleared to land, number two behind the Mooney." Quote
