markejackson02
Anyone ever made a cockpit organizer? I have a 1967 M20C and want to make something to hold flashlights, charts, checklist, and maybe attach the 696. There don't appear to be any products for the Mooney out there. carusoam
There is a thread here somewhere on this exact topic including dimension and materials, I think? Possibly even a list of Mooney owner purchased organizers... -a-

carusoam
Amigone supplied a photo awhile back.. Use the usual caution with this idea, if you have manual gear... Best regards, -a-
Steve65E-NC
Here are photos of a clear acrylic lap desk and a plastic couragated board "front of pilot seat organizer" that I built for myself and have used for over a decade. The lap desk shown (11.25x14.25x1.5) is made for conventional approach chart book but can also be built for any tablet. It has has five distinct areas for posting: check lists, emergency procedures, power management, W&B/performance info and FAR summary. An 8.5x11x1 cabinet for VOR log, spare planning forms, instrument covers, cue cards, etc is part of the design. I figure that one for IPAD will be about 16.25 wide. The trick to using both sides of this large lap desk is to lift it vertical toward you, turn it top for bottom and slide it back below the yoke. Try with a card board mockup or similar sized box/book before getting excited about this lapdesk design. I love it but others report insufficient room or visibility. The organizer may require a tank change wand. Send me a private e-mail if you would like to talk about having one or both made for yourself.
