Carl S Posted December 23, 2009 Report Posted December 23, 2009 In my search for an optimal aircraft, I have to confess that I have been looking at other makes, like the Twinkie and such. I found something this morning that looks interesting. Would any of you multi drivers care to comment on this one? I know that it has a high time airframe and that the avionics are outdated, and that feeding a multi is more costly than a single. Taking all that into consideration, there is something magic about this one… http://www.aso.com/listings/spec/ViewAd.aspx?id=127332&fAdvId=950 (I have also converted it to PDF because I know the listing will expire. Is there a way to post that?) [edit] added screenshots of pdf file - can't seem attach the pdf itself. [/edit] Quote
N6843N Posted December 23, 2009 Report Posted December 23, 2009 Other than the hours to cycles ratio being suspect it looks good to me, great useful load. I'd buy it. Quote
MooneyMitch Posted December 23, 2009 Report Posted December 23, 2009 It has proven to be extremely fast, safe and very reliable and will last well beyond your years of flying!!! Quote
hansel Posted December 23, 2009 Report Posted December 23, 2009 Agree... Excellent range too. Only downfall is that it doesn't take Avgas. "Magic plant" is hard to find in our neck of the woods. Quote
jlunseth Posted December 23, 2009 Report Posted December 23, 2009 The open cockpit is hard to find in a multi these days, and despite the landings no gear up! Go for it. Quote
The-sky-captain Posted December 23, 2009 Report Posted December 23, 2009 Go for it... obviously the alternative to the more common horsepower is working for St. Nick. I take it is FIKI? Quote
fantom Posted December 23, 2009 Report Posted December 23, 2009 That blinking red nose light isn't FAA approved, and you'll be prime for a ramp roof check! http://mooneyspace.com/s1106/weihnachten/xmas-smilies.html'> Quote
hansel Posted December 23, 2009 Report Posted December 23, 2009 I hate to be the one to bring this up... Why is MRS. Clause selling Santa's bird? (I hope he has a good attorney-- maybe our own mooneyspace member "docket" can step in and help out the jolly man). Quote
Buster1 Posted December 24, 2009 Report Posted December 24, 2009 Maybe he's upgrading to a nice mid-year Mooney for his annual travels? I'd buy it if it has NDH, not sure if the listing mentioned that. Quote
