M20BE Posted November 23, 2008 Report Posted November 23, 2008 When Mooney halted production, some said that Mooney has 30+ planes on stock at this moment and that they need to sell tehse first. The're also still working on 3 or 4 on the current production line and they are planning to finish these also. I don't know about you but 30+ planes could easely be 10M$ worth of stock, that's a lot in this market on intrests they pay etc... Do you think they will give a serious discount ? Quote
M20BE Posted November 23, 2008 Author Report Posted November 23, 2008 I heard on a new Bonanaza for the moment you can get 10% off the list price if you order from the factory... Quote
mooniac58 Posted November 23, 2008 Report Posted November 23, 2008 I am guessing you could walk away with some pretty aggressive deals from Kerrville right now. No one likes stale inventory and soon the '2008' attached to those planes will be a mark against them. Plus as we all now letting planes sit around without exercise is not a good idea. My money says they want to move those birds, and quickly. Unfortunately I don't think I could afford even the most aggressive price on a new Ovation 3 or Acclaim Quote
RobertoTohme Posted November 23, 2008 Report Posted November 23, 2008 They only have 6 planes listed on Controller, 3 Acclaims (all demos) and 3 Ovations (2 of them demos); the list was much longer a month ago... Quote
M20BE Posted November 24, 2008 Author Report Posted November 24, 2008 Roberto, yes I know, but they have much more in inventory, they just don't put them all up. They are smarter you know :-) Quote
Mcstealth Posted December 7, 2008 Report Posted December 7, 2008 Mooney has 21 to be sold. Five on the production line to maintain certification. Sold one in November. Mcstealth Quote
