That’s the one I ended up buying. Doesn’t matter where it’s for sale. More people see it, the more places it’s posted. Quote

Doesn’t matter where it’s for sale. More people see it, the more places it’s posted. I sold a Bravo in 2010 to a person who inquired on my eBay ad. Getting it in front of enough people is the key. I think putting it on there as a classified ad with what you're asking is important. Every other place it's advertised needs to have the same price that you're asking. Putting it on an auction with a buy it now price hurts the value, since the auction price ends up so much less than the buy it now price. No informed buyer is going to just bid when it gets to serious money on a airplane, sight unseen. It's not quite like buying a car. Any time I see a classified ad on Controller or Trade-A-Plane without a price, the idea that comes into my mind is that the person doesn't really believe that the price they want is what the airplane is worth, otherwise why not put it out there? Listing a price also eliminates nuisance calls just asking the price. 1 Quote
McMooney Posted March 24 Report Posted March 24 Wow, just looked on controller, there are a LOT of mooneys for sale Quote
Schllc Posted March 24 Report Posted March 24 There are actually no more than average for the last few years, currently 105. It’s been between 90-120 for the last several years. What is different is how long they are taking to sell. Quote
Ragsf15e Posted March 24 Report Posted March 24 Not that many Ovations/Eagles with FIKI for sale. I wonder if there just weren’t that many built? Those can have a great UL even with tks. Quote

How long is the average time from listing to sale do you reckon? Quote
Schllc Posted March 24 Report Posted March 24 My observation is merely anecdotal. I seem to see the same ones sitting there longer than I remember. I think the ones priced attractively move quickly. We have been increasing in price for years and now the market is softened. I don’t think it is a bad market just softer than it’s been. 2 Quote

Agree completely. Plus for people who are financing, the payment they are looking at won't buy them as much airplane as it would a few years ago. Quote
carusoam Posted March 27 Report Posted March 27 Interest rates are about maxed out… with the expectation of dropping three times this year… according to the federal reserve… financial coup… 1) buy it into the weakened price caused by higher interest rates… 2) refinance it after the rates drop… PP thoughts only, not a financial guru… or seer of any kind… Go Mooney! Best regards, -a- Update… Auction ended, reserve not met… last bid appears to be 130K… But, it did get a lot of clicks and eyeballs…. Quote
