To insure we are getting good aftermarket installs  -  we are publishing common calibration curves for every aircraft type.

As Aerospace Logic has the highest concentration of data points - this would be preferred data for the curves  but we will take calibration data from all sources

I have plenty of Beech and Cessna Data but recently discovered I don't have much in the way of a Mooney calibration

Early, Mid (bent outbd arms)  and Late    Thanks

It's near the top of my list for future mods.  It's a mid body G but only 26 gallons per side, so I don't know if that's 'bent outbd arms' or not.

You do not have outboard senders.  The G model is the one mid body with only one set of inboard senders.

Here is data from 68 G model, fuel capacity 52 gallons. Inboard senders only.  Aerospace logic gauge.

My airplane is in the shop and will have CIES senders installed.  I will provide calibration data when they do that.  I will be a month or so

Calibration data is too sensitive to your specific installation and how well the aircraft was leveled.

If they level it by the Mooney Maintenance Manual, it would be interesting to see the step-by-step results on yours since it has the Monroy Long Range Tanks.

Over all, this thread could be very helpful since owners that have put in CIES senders have pretty much been on their own for the most part. Posting the results here and all of the details on that airframe, with every variance, would be a great resource.

I was at the shop when they were trying to calibrate the Bravo we did with the CIES senders and a JPI930 in late 2020. I was told when I bought the senders that that CIES would be able to provide support since this was the shop's first CIES installation. We were getting strange results and called CIES for some guidance. The response we got from CIES when we called in? They were out getting bagels and would call us back. After patiently waiting a couple of hours for a call we called back and got their voice mail and left a message. Still waiting for that return call. The shop had to sort of figure it out and it was not accurate, very disappointing.

I don't know about this year, but last year, the CEO of Cies was at a table at MooneyMax.  You can beat on him directly.

They asked for data, I will supply it. :)

I don’t have a clue what the issues might have been when you did your install but I will say the calibration for me was finicky.  We had to do the process twice to get it to work.  As far as I could tell there was no difference between the first attempt and the second.   Just one time it didn’t work and the next time it did.   Since then the fuel sender/gauge combo has been very reliable.
