After my recent avionics upgrade, the avionics guys said that my airspeed indicator needed to be repaired for leaks. Based on a couple posts from MS, I decided to give Rudy's a look. Their website is pretty basic but their prices are listed clearly on the site. https://rudyaircraftinstruments.com/home-page I called the shop to make sure they were still in business and doing airspeed indicator overhauls. The confirmed and said that it would take 3-4 days on the bench. The said once they were done they'd call to get payment and then ship it back out. I figured for $225 for overhaul it was worth it. I shipped the airspeed indicator last Saturday, 1/13/2024. They received it on either Monday or Tuesday. I got a call on Thursday that the airspeed indicator overhaul had been completed. I gave the payment and they shipped it out same day. I received it via UPS today, Friday, 1/19/2024. Seems to be a pretty straightforward, honest and efficient shop. So far, I'm very happy. Once I get it reinstalled by my avionics shop, I'll update this thread. I have no doubt it will work as expected. Edited January 19, 2024 by gwav8or 5
Hank Posted January 19, 2024 Report Posted January 19, 2024 I have an IVSI that failed due to leaks. Gotta get it fixed and put back in. After 15 years, I can't go back to a regular VSI . . . . Guess I've been spoiled, but it's doggone nice! 1

Oklahoma Mooney Posted January 23, 2024 Report Posted January 23, 2024 I've had success over the years with Rudy's. Quick turn times and if there is any issue after overhaul they'll usually re-work it. They seem to stand by their work. 1
AndreiC Posted January 25, 2024 Report Posted January 25, 2024 I also had my Fuel Pressure/MP gauge overhauled by them, and they were exceptionally fast and with very good communication. Does anyone know if they overhaul DGs? I need mine overhauled sometime fairly soon.
