I am sorry, but it's not clear what you are asking. Clues to what? I have a 2006, G1000, WAAS, GFC700. Happy to help with more info.

Open the aux page group of the MFD after power on. Highlight the LRU list with the FMS knob. Scroll down to PFD 1. The LRU software will be listed.

Hi BlueDun and Danb

Looked it up and PDF 1 is 14.02.  Should this be updated to a newer version? I have no idea how to do it.

My real G1000 question is which database updates go. on which of the four SD cards. And should the MFD upper  card  be left alone to record flight data?

Thanks everyone...Happy New Year

Your question has been answered several times already but it may be a bit broken so hopefully this helps.
you cannot download the flight data without version .34 or higher.
if you want to update your data you can do it with just the two main cards but it’s easier with four cards.
the two Garmin cards get all but nav data which goes on the top cards.
put all four cards in, boot up. Done.
if you want data logging you may need to update your software.
it will cost about 1000 for the software to update to the latest and between 2-10 hours depending on who does it…

Hi Schlick,,,,Answers have been broken up. I have heard that updating software is a nightmare. I live in South Florida and serious IFR flying is not common.

Our bad weather is thunderstorms. Might just keep what I have which works for me. I will make sure Garmin cards are on the two bottoms

and I have been putting NAV on the top two SD cards. That works. Thanks to everyone

I live in South Florida too, where are you based?  If I get over to you I can help you in person.

Hi Schlic...G1000 MFD1 version is 14.02. Perhaps I cannot do flight data downloads. Could then subscribe to Savvy service.

Based at KVNC. Venice Airport Often told that software changes are only trouble!

I would not concern yourself with the hassle associated with software upgrades.
they are tedious and can easily take an entire day, but anyone who has done it before can do it in a few hours.
the only trouble is the sequence of the update. If it isnt done just so you have to start over.
the end user. In my experience, has no issues once it’s loaded properly it’s hassle free.
you would need data logging to use savvy engine analysis

I cannot do the software for you, but I believe there is a shop at your field that can do it, or Sarasota avionics, or Tomlinson at page field. He has done two or three for me.
