Additionally, there are several of us Mooney drivers close to Dalton that might be persuaded to shuttle you between endpoints.

All the way down to Spruce Creek?  I am in....

If that shop really knows Mooneys

Is there more to the story?  Was Dave there at the time?

And I'm guessing (hopefully) they fixed it?  I've never had an issue and neither have two other friends with Mooneys.  And not sure what to say except you possibly are that outlier that every business has where they mess up big time.  But over the years I've chatted with other pilots picking up or dropping off their planes, all with good things to say.

Lastly, I have been doing research on Savvy Aviation's SavvyMx service - have any of you used it? I am an engineer, but since I am not very familiar with acft mechanics/maintenance I thought that the investment in the service might be a wise one.

Clear skies to you all,

CChris

I am a new to airplane ownership, so I signed up for the Savvy program, and I have had mixed results. The place they helped me find for a pre buy was so bad that I would have gotten more out of it if I would have just set the money on fire. The local shop they found for me has been amazing and has made the cost of Savvy worth every penny. The bonus is the breakdown hotline that you can call if you happen to breakdown out of town. For someone like me that would have had no idea where to even start looking for someone to do the maintenance it has been very valuable.
