Mooney CFI for transition training

Hi All,

I am a 130hrs private in Atlanta area and looking for a Mooney CFI to help me with few things:

- Ferry my M20K, Bravo or Ovation (TBD) to one of the fields in Atlanta area

- Transition me to Mooney for insurance compliance

- Help me with HP and Complex endorsements

- Train me for IR on that plane (not 100% sure yet about this but seriously consider depending on my future budget)

Also looking for a great Mooney mechanic who is willing to travel in US to help me complete pre-buy before #1.

What airport will be your home base? If you check The Mooney Flyer website, they maintain a list of Mooney CFI’s by state. I used Jim Stevens from Acworth. He instructs out of PDK for the GA Tech flying club. We flew my J home from MD and got a good portion of my transition training done on the ferry flight. I’m currently using him for my instrument training.

Mike Elliott below is a great choice not far from you in Atlanta. I used him for a long difficult ferry from Calgary to Longview, they got the plane there and worked with customs to get cleared in properly. Also used for transitioning to an Acclaim and an IPC.
