I have a Lancair 235 I've been working on for the past year.  Last weekend I took a ride in a 235 and pilot/owner was discussing maintenance he does on his plane.  One thing I found interesting was that because the side windows and bubble canopy aren't manufactured anymore and would be difficult to replace, he applies PVC release film on his plexiglass for protection.  His side windows and canopy look spectacular.  I searched the internet for anyone using PVA release film on plexiglass but found nothing.  I was wondering if anyone on Mooneyspace has used or heard of using this stuff for this purpose.
