BravoWhiskey Posted May 13, 2023 Report Posted May 13, 2023 Ugh… Little crack in the weld there. Picked up a little CO2 reading on one of those digital cigarette lighter plug-ins… then saw this. 3 Quote
carusoam Posted May 13, 2023 Report Posted May 13, 2023 Nice catch! Great pic too. No fire… No sleeping pilot… which CO monitor picked up the early warning? (Brand, model, or pic?) What reading did you see? Did you get an alarm with that? Let me invite @DanM20C to the discussion… Best regards, -a- Quote
EricJ Posted May 13, 2023 Report Posted May 13, 2023 Good catch! Great to catch that early before it got bigger. 1 Quote

Acorn Welding can probably fix that, BTW Quote
BravoWhiskey Posted May 13, 2023 Author Report Posted May 13, 2023 Right… CO not CO2. Anyway it’s a $30 cigarette lighter plug in with USB port I got on Amazon. Brand is Fasohere. I didn’t hear the alarm but noticed it high when my wife was unplugging my daughters phone charger before landing. Usually it’s high when idling on the ground with window and/or door open and drops to 0 when moving and during run up. Regarding the repair I have been in touch with both AWI and Acorn. Hopefully won’t be down too long. 1 Quote

N201MKTurbo Posted May 14, 2023 Report Posted May 14, 2023 I had a crack in my exhaust like that back in ‘04, I just welded it myself. It has been fine ever since. 1 Quote
