If you look back in this post the earlier Mooneyspace member quoted the Porsche part number and used it and it worked, so 12v works

Here's a source for bulbs, etc, since the clock is from a Porsche 944:

Looked at the previous posts, read the electrical diagram, saw the resistors, but this thread threw me off (someone installed a 12V bulb in a Bravo and it blew off)  and I decided to tap into the hive wisdom:
