hphillips Posted August 15, 2021 Report Posted August 15, 2021 I have a 1975 M20F and was hopeful to convert the push button landing light on top of the throttle to a rocker switch located with the other rocker switches as I have empty space for it. Has anyone done this? Have no real way of knowing if the light is on or not… Thanks in advance! Quote
JWJR Posted August 15, 2021 Report Posted August 15, 2021 I have a 75 C. The first annunciation light next to the N number light indicates the light is on. My light switch in the throttle went bad. My local avionics shop took care it in less than a hour. I believe all 75 models have the (New Dimension)panel. You can test the bulb by pushing the annunciation test light. It may just be the bulb. I’m sorry for replying with info you probably already know … anyway to move the switch should not be difficult at all. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
JWJR Posted August 15, 2021 Report Posted August 15, 2021 The arrow is pointing at the landing light indicator in my 75C - sorry it is a bit blurry Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote

That particular indicator is missing and haven’t been able to locate a replacement. It definitely would be easier if I could… Quote
carusoam Posted August 15, 2021 Report Posted August 15, 2021 Check in with your favorite avionics shop and ask… Adding an LED would be easy if you wanted to have a sign of it working… Best regards, -a- Quote
58Victor Posted November 21, 2021 Report Posted November 21, 2021 Mine used to be intermittent. I recently had some avionics work done and the shop when they put it back together fixed it. 1975 F Quote

It definitely would be easier if I could…The landing light has a separate breaker and relay. You should be able to move to the free opening you have. The Piper rocker switches (which are not breakers) can be used. Is the light assembly missing?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro Quote

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro Yes it is. At this moment, I’m set to have a rocker switch installed which I would prefer. Thanks for your help. Quote
