Proof... that you can take a person out of a Mooney...

But... You can’t ever get the Mooney out of the person...

MS is just the place to go to get your daily dose of Mooney aviation.

Every now and then a post shows up... the avatar is a great memory device...

Somebody might respond with...   Hey! there’s been a Ryoder sighting...   :)

Its kinda like that fictional bar in Boston...

Cheers!

I sold my Mooney a few years ago but still feel like a Mooniac. What’s wrong with me?

First rule Never admit to anything!!!

Second rule deny! deny! deny!

Make everyone else figure it out and prove it.:D

I know the feeling!

Amazing thing about mooneyspace.  Search google for a problem with just about any airplane, and it's almost assured that one of the first results will be a mooneyspace post!

There is nothing wrong with you except your diagnosis.  You never actually sell a money, you are only "temporarily between Mooneys".

So....what model are you now considering?

I want the M20E that they did all the weight reduction and drag improvements on or something like it. The ultimate in economy cruising. To me it is the Mooniest of Mooneys.

Sold my C in Sept. '19.  Still here almost every day.  Placed an offer on a spectacular B last July but lost out.

I want a '64 E, a B or an IO upgraded 62-64 C and actively looking.

I miss my D. Sold it about six weeks ago. The good news is that the FSDO just issued me my Repairman’s certificate for my E-LSA!
I have 112 months to the day until I retire when I’ll finally get that J...

Cool. Which ELSA are you building?

Now that's planning! Nine years and a bit. Me, I'll just wing it and go when I have the whole insurance thing figured out . . . . But my wife is 5 years behind me, a complicating factor . . . .

Happy building, and fly safe!

I bought a used one ; a Flightworks Capella XS. The beauty of E-LSA is that you can take a 16-hr course and then apply for the repairmen cert. My mission changed for the time being so I’ll be playing with experimental for now. Let’s all see how FAA’s MOSAIC plays out over the next several years.
I’m hoping they’ll one day adopt something parallel to Canada’s “Owner-Maintenance Category” (4 place or less, =

Way to plan the future Tigers! :)

Do they have an aviation department where you work?

We have at least one LEO that is flying at work...

See if I have any of these memories correct?

Best regards,

I left that agency with all of the cool birds but I’m at another that does indeed have a large scale transportation operation. My dream job would be at the US Forest Service seaplane base in Ely, MN.

I did mention you had a great way to plan the future!

Thanks for the memory boost, greatly appreciated...

Mooney addiction is much more pleasant, but the "treatment" is somewhat more expensive. :D
