scottfromiowa Posted October 13, 2011 Author Report Posted October 13, 2011 Thanks Byron and Clarence. Laughed at the Silicone reference Clarence...good one. Will that screw # be a certain length? Good source for screws and sealant? I think I "get" the countersunking now(why plexi has to be countersunk) Thanks again. Quote
jetdriven Posted October 13, 2011 Report Posted October 13, 2011 I wouild guess aircraft spruce. You are going to need the screws about 3/8" to 1/2". At 5 cents each maybe just order 3 lengths . Quote
DaV8or Posted October 14, 2011 Report Posted October 14, 2011 Scott- I saw your pictures in the gallery and it reminded me to tell that if you're considering putting in shoulder belts, now is the time to do them!! Also think about any wiring you might want to lay in for the future, say 406 ELT or S-Tec auto pilot. Wiring is cheap and while the panels are off... Quote
jetdriven Posted October 15, 2011 Report Posted October 15, 2011 +3 to that! Shoulder harnesses are important. Quote
scottfromiowa Posted October 15, 2011 Author Report Posted October 15, 2011 Thanks Dave. I have shoulder harnesses. Thanks on Screw location/length(s) Byron. Wiring on ELT also a great suggestion. No S-TEC unless future partner (IFR pilot) wants to spring. I like the PC with Accu-Trak. Quote
