GeorgePerry Posted September 6, 2011 Report Posted September 6, 2011 Quote: PilotDerek I just looked at a 68 20F this weekend. The plane is in great shape. I only noticed a few things that I wanted to hear some thoughts on. First, I saw corrosion on the landing gear, how bad is that? I didn’t see any on the airframe. Second, one of the drains was damp, is that weeping? Please educate me a bit. Thanks. Quote
PilotDerek Posted September 6, 2011 Author Report Posted September 6, 2011 Thank you for the response. I might have missed out on this plane as I just spoke with the owner how seems to want to sell to someone closer to him. Another interested buyer is doing a pre-buy before even test flying it. I thought that was a little backwards. Quote

HopePilot Posted September 6, 2011 Report Posted September 6, 2011 Light corrosion on the landing gear is to be expected, and is something most people are constantly taking care of. Quote
DaV8or Posted September 7, 2011 Report Posted September 7, 2011 Here's a good pre-buy checklist from LASAR's website. They also have a good buyer's guide too. Quote
