Jim Peace Posted March 22, 2020 Report Posted March 22, 2020 are these not for sale anymore? I did contribute to the cause a while back..... Took a picture of mine today....5730 hours:
hammdo Posted March 22, 2020 Author Report Posted March 22, 2020 I have what I think is correct: Down lock block: AN 3-26A Bolt AN 960-10 Washer AN 363-1032 Nut Up lock block: AN 3-17A Bolt AN 960-10 Washer AN 363-1032 Nut Aviall here I come! at least that’s what my manual says ;o) I’m assuming the push down lock block button unscrews so that assembly can be removed/installed. Don’t see that breakdown in my manual as I believe those early model Mooneys didn’t have them... The SB for models without the button lock block on how to add the revised block: https://cdn2.hubspot.net/hubfs/4147179/technical_documents/service_bulletins/sbm20-88b.pdf FYI preloads in that SB are wrong. This SI corrects those: https://cdn2.hubspot.net/hubfs/4147179/technical_documents/service_instructions/sim20-32.pdf Edit: David was quick! -Don
jwarren2 Posted March 23, 2020 Report Posted March 23, 2020 The button on the thumb latch just unscrews and then you can slide apart. Be careful as to not let the spring get away from you. See picture for the associated pieces.
Jim Peace Posted March 26, 2020 Report Posted March 26, 2020 so may pages to look at....Who can I contact to get a gear down block? Jim

Jim Hi Jim, I’m trying to think of how best to handle another small order and comply with the owner produced rules since we already have a drawing and material spec. It may be that you provide the material to comply. I’ll check with the machine shop on what the cost would be for a single part. Thank you, David 1

Thank you, David Thank you, I have a call and email into LASAR as well.....webite says they have them but they dont answer the phone or return emails that quickly....could be a CV thing
carusoam Posted March 27, 2020 Report Posted March 27, 2020 Consider using the same method that the engine controls use for OPP... I believe it works by... We send in the old part... that’s our design... it just so happens to match the builder’s design as well... Best regards, -a-
Jim Peace Posted March 31, 2020 Report Posted March 31, 2020 Curious: being that I contributed to the cause and was unable to get one of these and had to buy one from LASAR do I get my money back?
