panther1400 Posted August 16, 2011 Report Posted August 16, 2011 Thanks for all the advice you guys gave me between a 201 and a 231 I feel at this point and for the big part of my needs and the amount both planes take financially to own, the J is the best fit for me now (hope some day in the future I will have more time to fly more long trips). So I am in need of some help looking for a J. I am pretty open minded in the plane I am looking for because there are usually benifits to all kinds and conditions. Quote
mulro767 Posted August 16, 2011 Report Posted August 16, 2011 I bought my J almost one year ago. Best decision ever! But my best advice is to be patient for the right one to come along. I had a TAP subscription but ended up finding mine on Controller. Look everywhere and do your research. I found AOPA to have a lot of suggestions and the buyer's checklist was very helpful. Rate what is most important to you. I wanted a low time engine, fair interior, fair paint, older avionics and a good auto-pilot. I wanted to do a custom panel with my own avionics. Makes it feel more like mine. In time, I will take care of the rest. But for now I have exactly what I was looking for. Good luck finding your J!!! Quote
panther1400 Posted August 16, 2011 Author Report Posted August 16, 2011 Can I ask what year and hours and avionics you ended up finding? Quote

RJBrown Posted August 17, 2011 Report Posted August 17, 2011 It is not listed anywhere but I am ready for a Rocket. My 1990 J has about 1800 TT airframe and engine. Pictures in my album. Just out of annual in July. High time engine and priced accordingly at $110,000. Avionics are as original. Classic plus package. Quote
