am gonna have some time to do detail work on my plane due to a nose truss repair (dont ask) and i saw a while back about rubber seals bought at lowes to get away from the gummy kids stuff. i couldnt fond the info by looking at past threads so could somebody direct me to the info ? thanks in advance

I went to O’Reilly’s Auto and bought one inch white seal strip used between camper shells and truck bed.   After laying it on I pierced where the screw holes are with a small sharp punch.

Thanks for the info. I remember seeing someone here that had gotten a rubber gasket of some kind from Lowe’s but if I don’t come across that info then to oreilleys aviation dept it is

Don't forget the National Aviation Parts Assn. stores scatter across the country!

Just useless info..... did you know that the vr24 voltage regulator off of a 1960 mercury Montclair is the same as on the Mooney ? I was totally amazed
