rahawk
Does anyone know if changing the fuel sensors for L/R tanks disturbes the tank sealing? I am looking to replace old six pack instruments with EDM 930 and want to replace old sensors, but concerned about disturbing sealant on tanks. Thanks in advance for help / advise. DrBill
I just had the sensor gaskets replaced during my last annual. Was 5 hours including filling the tanks and checking for leaks. DrBill

AlexR
Changing the sensors is no problem at all and has nothing to do with the chemical sealant in the tanks. The senders use a cork or rubber gasket which you should replace with new when you change the senders out. If the tanks have less than 3-4 gals in them you can make the switch. Instead of new, you can have your units overhauled for 1/3 the price. Try www.airpartsoflockhaven.com. The have done good work for me, less than 1 amu each. danb35
I'd hope it's less than $1k to overhaul a single sender! Did you mean less than 0.1 AMU ($100) each?
