UBG16 service?

@oregon87 or anyone else knowledgeable, I found a decent deal on an FP-5L.  Can I just splice into the existing transducer wiring before the FM-FLOW module? Or do I eliminate the flow module entirely and take that function off the UBG16?

You can absolutely splice into the existing transducer.  Cap the red and black wires from the FP-5 as the transducer will receive the power and ground from the FM-FLOW and split the signal from the transducer's white wire to the FM-FLOW and FP-5.
