Received a ping from Garmin today the g3x is now available for your airplanes!

price sucks, 10.6” certified = $10,000

                          “     Experimental = $3,800

three guesses what I think of that

Just to note, too, that the GFC 500 (only compatible autopilot) is only available for the long body aircraft today.  The mid-bodies are expected next but no firm data has been provided.

I have to say the price is amazing imo.  A 38% ($3,300) increase for all the work that is involved for certification sounds fair to me. It makes the txi seem a little overpriced but that’s the only beef I have.

I know it's a moot point but it's still less than the G500TXi that is $15,995.

Compared to the Dynon HDX with it's auto pilot or adding the GFC 500 with the G3X cert plus G5 it's relatively only a little more. And at least the Garmin is available soon.

$45K for what you see, another $45K for the install.

Can't have a panel that costs more than my plane . . . . .

Looked at the G3x today at SnF. My brother in law was getting ready to buy a GTN750 but now is debating whether the G3x with a Garmin 175 is a better option. The G3x would provide even larger screen than the 750 and the Garmin 175 would feed the GPS navigation to the G3x

I installed a GTN 750 in my J and bought a Searey with the G3X touch and prefer the G3X.  Easier to maneuver through the functions and provides full engine monitoring on one device. Added a GPS20 and it is now ADS-B compliant.  Much better performance for the price in my opinion.
