I changed batteries a few days ago due to flashing read LED indicator but after brand new batteries installed did not work at all. Tried another pair of known good batteries and nothing. I was about to send it off to Bose for rebuild when I noticed it came on momentarily when I was holding the batteries in with the cap off, but then quit when I let go. Compared the battery terminal to my other set and it was obvious what the problem was. Took a small screwdriver and lifted and slid the positive battery terminal back into position. Good as new.

Hope this PIREP helps someone

Great Pirep, Bartman!

Something to look for in other devices as well... the parts have a tendency to slip out of position when not being watched closely...

Best regards,
