I was hoping it would be a de-iced key chain - for those winter days when my hangar door has ice in the key hole and I just can't get it open.

You guys in Alabama don't know what I am talking about do you.

Anyone here from Michigan? New York?  New Hampshire?

You can get a squirt bottle of lock deicer for that. Just don't use WD-40 on a lock you like . . . . or can't cut off.

Some of us Alabama folks ain't always lived here.  :D   My total time is quite high in both North Carolina and southern Ohio (boy, now, there's an oxymoron!).

That's exactly what I do.'  If it is supremely cold that doesn't seem to do the whole job so one of those micro blow torches can help.

Bloody hell, thats cold.  Never had to use a blow torch on a lock over here, even when it does get "cold".

Lived in the south a couple times.  Can’t seem to get the rest of the family to follow.  Seasons are nice, some are just too long.

If I collect enough keychains could I put them all together and de-ice my E?

Well - its only that cold now and then.

No. I'm not flying when its that cold. But sometimes I will go to the hangar in the evening to plug everything in for heating in case I might want to fly the next day when it might warm up to 0.

We are talking a cold snap - not average - weather.

PS - I cope much better with cold weather than hot weather.  Atlanta?!!!  I would just melt.  Come up and visit the Adirondacks in the summer... but the winters are glorious too.
