Becca Posted March 21, 2011 Report Posted March 21, 2011 We are thinking of flying our Mooney up to Colorado to go skiing this weekend. We're not up for mountain flying (yet, new plane..) so were planning on landing in Denver and driving out. Any advice on where to go (Front Range Airport?), last minute booking options for resort condos (thinking Breckenridge or Vail/Beaver Creek) or rental cars? Thanks!Becca Quote
eaglebkh Posted March 30, 2011 Report Posted March 30, 2011 Centennial (APA) seems to be a popular choice. Quote
Bob Posted March 30, 2011 Report Posted March 30, 2011 I spent over a month last year in the Denver area. I was very happy with Rocky Mountain Metro airport-KBJC. Close to the highways and also a Delta space. I parked at Denver Air Center, $10 per day or $90 per month and also have oxygen if needed. Fuel a little high, but can get fuel at Longmont, 5 Mooney Minutes away. Enjoy you ski trip! Quote
Barry Posted March 30, 2011 Report Posted March 30, 2011 I second the motion for KBJC. I fly out to see my daughter who lives in Boulder fairly regular and flying into Jeffco is a pleasure. Get fuel somewhere else ... Quote
