The bearings that pass the tighter tolerance requirement go in the PMA box. Too many years ago to count I had a used Porsche 914. I was doing a tune-up and needed a new distributor cap. I went to the Porsche dealer, showed the parts guy the cap and when he told me how much a new one would be I almost died. Then he said, "Kid, go over to the VW dealership and get your cap. It will be a fraction of the price and in a Bosch box, but it will work fine." He was right. I was told later that the Porsche parts went through more rigorous testing, etc., and it makes sense. The generic part was still on the car when I sold it a few years later.
