I have been using my AOA for more than 8 years and I love it. I would say for approaches I am relying more on it than on my AI. I installed it in my panel, so it is part of my scan.

I've had the CYA100 for several years, its easy to install, basically a phone cable that goes from the vane to indicator, and a power wire. I also wired the audio output of AOA into the audio panel, there's no missing that noise if the flashing red doesn't get your attention. Its small and fits anywhere. I parked it next to the airspeed.
